/ins . Gränges India Technical Seminar 2017 takes place on October 25-26, 2017, in Pune, India. The seminar is arranged every second year and 2017 is the sixth event since the start in 2007. Approximately 80 of the company’s largest customers and business partners in the region are attending the seminar.

/ins . When Apple CEO Tim Cook wanted to discover more about the sustainability work that lies behind the paperboard material Invercote, he visited the forest outside Iggesund in Sweden. The manufacturer, Iggesund Paperboard, is part of the Holmen forest industry group and is at the forefront of sustainability. Present to discuss with Tim Cook were Holmen’s CEO Henrik Sjölund and Iggesund Paperboard’s CEO Daniel Peltonen.

/ins . Cartons made of paperboard from Iggesund Paperboard won two of the categories at the Carton Excellence Awards 2017. They were given at the Pro Carton/Ecma congress in Vienna in late September. Iggesund products were used for the winners in categories “Beauty & Cosmetics” and the new category  “Save the Planet”.

/ins . It was a great moment for the Finnish family distillery Lignell & Piispanen, when the company’s new Gustav Dill vodka was at the top podium in the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) in London.

/ins . PulPaper is the leading international event in the forest industry’s calendar, and will be held at Messukeskus in Helsinki on 29–31 May 2018. The event acts as a global meeting place where visitors can get a comprehensive overview of the latest forestry technology. The previous event attracted visitors from a total of 70 different countries, and exhibitors from 30 countries are expected at PulPaper 2018.

/ins . A postal roll container developed by Finnish company K.Hartwall Oy Ab has won the four-year-long product development tender launched by a UK parcel operator. The first phase of the project, which includes the adoption of K.Hartwall’s new parcel roll container by one of Europe’s largest logistics markets, is valued at more than EUR 18 million. The new roll container will be developed and series production will take place at K.Hartwall’s factory in Sipoo, east of Helsinki.
