”We must concentrate on the details, what’s required now is fine tuning”, says the new President of ElectroluxWascator, Håkan Johansson. ”That fine tuning is going to be centred around R & D, developing new applications, upgrading older machines and introducing new ones as the product replacement cycle speeds up. “Investing more in R&D means we can expect to see more new products and functions”, he comments. “But that’s not enough. We have professional customers who expect us to work together with them improving their business and helping the environment. It makes sound business sense in the long run.”

“Wij moeten ons nu op de details concentreren, wat wij nu nodig hebben is een betere afstemming”, zegt de nieuwe president van Electrolux-Wascator, Håkan Johansson. “Die betere afstemming zal draaien om research en ontwikkeling, het ontwikkelen van nieuwe toepassingen, de opwaardering van oudere en de invoering van nieuwe machines, terwijl de snelheid waarmee vervangen moet worden steeds hoger wordt. “Grotere investering in research en ontwikkeling betekent dat wij mogen verwachten meer nieuwe producten met betere functies te zien”, voegt hij eraan toe. “Maar dat is niet genoeg. Wij hebben professionele klanten die van ons verwachten dat wij met hen samenwerken om hun zaken te verbeteren en het milieu te beschermen. Op de lange duur is dat zakelijk gezien heel verstandig.”
