A simplified payment system for laundry rooms and laundrettes is being launched by Electrolux-Wascator. Using the new SingleSystem, the handling of money disappears and is replaced by a personal payment card. By reducing theft and vandalism and simplifying administration, many landlords and property owners can make large cost savings.

Coin-operated laundry rooms do, unfortunately, all too often have problems with theft and vandalism. This increases the cost of repairs and can create irritation and give a feeling of insecurity among the tenants.
One solution is to entirely eliminate the presence of money in the laundry rooms. This has been done by Electrolux-Wascator through the launch of the SingleSystem. This system uses a payment card instead of coins to operate the washing machines, tumble driers and other washing equipment.
The system is very easy to operate. The card is inserted into the machine and the cost of the wash is deducted from the card. When the credit on the card runs out the card can be recharged using a charge system.
The system allows complete flexibility of pricing. Each wash programme can be priced differently i.e. extra charge for pre-wash, or lower price of a quick wash. A price reduction for washing at certain times of the day can be used to promote business in a laundrette.
The system is very safe. A code system can be used to control access to the machines and bar unauthorised use.
The SingleSystem can be integrated in most washing machines and tumble driers from Electrolux-Wascator. For older models and machines of different makes, the system is supplied as a box to be installed on the wall.
The new SingleSystem can contribute to considerable cost savings, both for tenant-owners' associations, landlords and laundrettes.
