Kemiart Ultra has been the latest addition to Kemiart Liners’ range of high-performance coated white-top kraftliners. Feedback from M-real customers shows that Kemiart Ultra can be postprinted without drying equipment and no loss of efficiency in production. Depending on the press equipment, printing speeds from 6,000 to 15,000 sheets per hour have been achieved with in-line die cutting.

M-real is investing €7million in a new winder at its Kirkniemi Mill, Finland, to meet the increasing quality standards and need for higher production efficiency set by new wider HSWO (heat-set web offset) printing presses. The new winder will be installed on paper machine line 1, producing Galerie Lite publishing paper, and represents the latest technology in winding.

M-real announces that PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) forest labelling is now carried by its Galerie range of publishing papers, including Galerie Lite, Galerie Brite, Galerie One, Galerie Fine and Galerie Art. The PEFC logo and certification will automatically be printed on reel labels and delivery documentation This signifies that the mills manufacturing these grades know that the wood originates from certified forests and is documented under the PEFC Chain of Custody standard.
