/INS. System operator TenneT has signed a multi-year contract (Corporate Framework Agreement) with eight contract partners following a tendering procedure. These parties will supply and install the cables for the 110, 150, 220 and 380 kV onshore high-voltage AC connections in Germany and the Netherlands on behalf of TenneT in the coming years.

/INS. Valmet will supply a Valmet DNA distributed control system (DCS) to Gwangyang Green Energy Corporation’s biomass power plant under construction in Southwest Province in South Korea. The order was placed by Lotte Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd (Lotte E&C), which is the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for the plant.

The company will introduce for the first time the use of renewable biofuels generated from hydrotreated vegetable waste oil to power heavy machinery for civil works, in a pioneering initiative aimed at decarbonizing infrastructure construction. /INS.  International technology group ANDRITZ will supply Enva Northern Ireland Ltd. with an automated fridge recycling plant for their new site in Toomebridge.  The plant will process 70 fridges per hour. Start-up is scheduled for 2024.

/INS. bp ventures has made a £4 million investment in Dynamon, a UK-based software company that specializes in developing advanced data analytics and simulation tools for commercial transport and logistics companies. The funding forms part of Dynamon’s Series A round, being raised to fully commercialize and scale up its platform and expand its operations in Europe and into North America.

/INS.  In a move that positions it to displace Hapag-LLoyd as the world’s fifth largest box ship operator Taiwan’s Evergreen Marine Corporation is betting billions on methanol-fueling, placing orders for 24 methanol dual fueled 16,000 TEU containerships, split between two Asian shipyards. At 16,000 TEU, the ships are larger than anything Evergreen Marine Asia  currently lists in its flee t, the largest of which come in at 8,508 TEU.
