Applications are being accepted for the Swedish Steel Prize 2023 – the steel industry’s most prestigious international award – now for the 21 st time celebrating innovative steel solutions.

Within the partnership, Stora Enso and EcoTelligent Oy will establish mass timber as the material of choice for telecommunication support structures. The collaboration is set to provide an alternative that will reduce the dependency on steel and concrete in telecom masts, through sustainable towers that naturally blend in with the environment.

This opens up new possibilities, such as for cancer research or understanding life at its earliest stages. With this award, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier honors scientists and their innovations that unlock scientific potential and create jobs.
