/INS.  thyssenkrupp Uhde has been engaged by Ark Energy Corporation Pty Ltd on behalf of the Han-Ho H2 Consortium (the ‘Consortium’) to deliver a Feasibility Study to support the development of the Han-Ho H2 Hub Project. The study will involve a comprehensive techno-economic analysis of the power-to-ammonia value chain using thyssenkrupp Uhde’s proprietary RHAMFS® methodology.

/INS.  TRUMPF will be showcasing a robot that uses sensors to program its own weld path at “Schweissen & Schneiden”, the world’s leading trade fair for joining, cutting and surfacing technology, which will be held in Essen, Germany. The robot makes use of TRUMPF’s new smart seam-tracking technology, which the high-tech company developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA. “We’ve basically developed a way for the welding robot to program itself. For users, that means a much easier transition into automated arc welding – plus a clear competitive edge,” says TRUMPF R&D manager Sven Klingschat. Housed in the head of the welding torch, the sensor automatically calculates the weld path for each part.

/INS. System operator TenneT has signed a multi-year contract (Corporate Framework Agreement) with eight contract partners following a tendering procedure. These parties will supply and install the cables for the 110, 150, 220 and 380 kV onshore high-voltage AC connections in Germany and the Netherlands on behalf of TenneT in the coming years.

/INS. Valmet will supply a Valmet DNA distributed control system (DCS) to Gwangyang Green Energy Corporation’s biomass power plant under construction in Southwest Province in South Korea. The order was placed by Lotte Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd (Lotte E&C), which is the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor for the plant.

/INS.  ACCIONA has launched an innovative initiative the Fargo-Moorhead flood diversion project in the United States. The company will introduce for the first time the use of renewable biofuels generated from hydrotreated vegetable waste oil to power heavy machinery for civil works, in a pioneering initiative aimed at decarbonizing infrastructure construction. ACCIONA is executing the Fargo-Moorhead project together with Shikun & Binui USA and North American Construction Group, through the ASN Constructors consortium.

/INS.  Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) is actively involved in research work for electric buses and hydrogen trucks, with the intention to introduce them to the Indian market. DICV is preparing to enter the electric commercial vehicle segment. The initial focus could be on electric buses, aligning with India’s shift towards emission-free vehicles.

/INS.  International technology group ANDRITZ will supply Enva Northern Ireland Ltd. with an automated fridge recycling plant for their new site in Toomebridge.  The plant will process 70 fridges per hour. Start-up is scheduled for 2024.
