Interprise Woodland - a contact exhibision for wood products industry

PRESS RELEASE
April 27, 1995
Interprise Woodland in Sweden
International EU convention to attract decision-makers in forestry and forest related industry

Great possibilities for getting close to a lot of qualified industry contacts fast, at low cost, and avoiding time-wasting preparations. That's what's promised by the organizers of Interprise Woodland, an international convention for corporations in the forest technology, sawmill, and lumber businesses, as well as those providing services and equipment to the logging, pulp and paper industries. The convention, which is organized within the framework of the EU Commission's ‘Interprise' program, runs from 3 thru 6 September 1995 at Sundsvall, Sweden, and attendance by decision-makers from around 600 corporations worldwide is expected.

The organizers of Interprise Woodland are expecting around 600 delegate corporations from Europe, the Baltic States, the United States, Canada, Latin America, and South-east Asia. The expected high attendance is due to delegate company profiles also being disseminated via BC-Net, an electronic mail system specially designed for partner-matching, a new departure for this type of convention.
The organizers' claim is that the convention will enable fast and low-cost generation of valuable contacts with potential partner corporations. This is in contrast to trade exhibitions, which typically involve extensive pre-planning and high investment in display equipment.
Interprise (Initiative to Encourage Partnerships among Industries or Services in Europe) is an action program intended to promote international partnerships, especially between small and mid-size enterprises in Europe. But the Sundsvall convention, which is taking place right in the middle of the Swedish forest industry zone, is also open to delegates from non-European countries.
