Stora Enso, Europe's biggest paper and board manufacturer, is launching a new product range for packaging cosmetics. The product family comprises the SBS boards Ensocoat and Ensogloss and FBB boards Printocart and Printocart Luxe, the latest addition designed exclusively for the luxury packaging industry. Stora Enso has also built a strong technical support and service concept around the new range. The company's goal is to be the leading material supplier in its chosen product segment. The new product family will be launched in October at the luxury packaging fair in Monaco.

Stora Enso predicts digital printing will take a strong position in packaging markets and become a mainstream process. Strong growth in demand over the last six months for board products that are suitable for digital processes supports the company's forecast. Pira International, which follows developments in the packaging industry also believes that digital printing will account for almost 20% of all printing by 2010.

Ready-to-drink tea is now Japan's most popular soft drink, selling in terms of volume more than fruit juices, carbonated drinks, milk and water. The tea trend seems likely to continue and it contributes to the growth of Stora Enso Consumer Boards and Nippon Paper-Pak on the Japanese markets. Nippon uses Stora Enso´s high barrier board, which is ideal for various aroma and taste sensitive beverages.
