History:
Snickers Original was founded in 1975 by the electrician Matti Viio. His anger at poor-quality work clothing made him go home one day and design his own. Over its first five years, the company grew by 100% per year in Sweden. By 1980, Snickers was a well-known trademark that stood for quality, innovative thinking, and customer awareness. In order to expand the product outside Sweden, Snickers Europe AB was founded as a development and franchising company. Franchised companies independently look after marketing, distribution and service in their respective markets in accordance with current agreements. Snickers Europe AB is responsible for business and product development, production, quality control and co-ordination of profile-forming marketing.
