Turbo blowers offer greater economic benefits when compared with compressors and other competing equipment in producing the large amounts of compressed air that are needed in aeration basins at waste water treatment plants. According to ABB Fläkt Oy in Finland, benefits include lower investment and running costs, reliable and trouble-free operation, and a short delivery time. Four blowers from the company's turbo blower range for aeration, known as Exvel Bio, are now in operation at the Glenelg waste-water treatment plant in Adelaide, Australia.

A new range of radar level gauges based on advanced radar technology (FMCW) is about to be launched. There are three versions designed to be used in both simple and complex measuring applications. The radar level gauges claimed to be very reliable even under severe conditions, such as turbulence, or high temperatures and pressures. As a result, their sensitivity is much greater than that of earlier systems, according to Saab Tank Control AB, the Swedish company that developed the instrument.
