New Allgon Ultra - easy to install glass-mounted antenna

Swedish designer, manufacturer and distributor of mobile telephone accessories, Allgon Mobile AB, has released a new glass-mounted antenna. The Allgon Ultra offers a +3dB gain which considerably improves call quality when phoning from a car. Created by contemporary industrial designers, the antenna has a fibreglass reinforced polyamide construction which is whistle-free at any speed. According to the manufacturer, the antenna is very simple to install by merely following the step-by-step instructions provided.

Made from tough and durable fibre-glass reinforced polyamide materials, the antenna is able to withstand harsh treatment and exposure to the elements. By mounting the antenna on one of the car’s windows, no holes need be drilled in the vehicle. A sleek aero- dynamic design means that it is extremely silent with no whistle sound irrespective of the speed of the vehicle. The radiator is simply unscrewed when the vehicle is to be washed.
Although primarily aimed at the American and UK markets, the antenna is also expected to gain wide-
spread use in the Nordic countries.

call sound quality and increasing signal coverage”, says Emanuela Pedrocco at Allgon. “A mobile phone not connected to an external antenna can lose between 10 and 15 dB of signal strength which is absorbed by the vehicle’s metal panels. External mounting also means that the signal is led from the car which reduces the risk of interference of and by other electronic components.”
