acquires Rauma Ecoplanning Oy
Swedish-based chemical engineering company, Chematur Engineering AB (CEAB) has acquired the Finnish engineering company Rauma Ecoplanning Oy which specializes in designing and building chemical plants world-wide. The deal means that CEAB will add a new business area to its present product portfolio increasing its turnover to USD 85 million.
”The acquisition means that Ecoplanning will consolidate its market presence aided by an injection of human and financial resources and backed by a strong owner”, comments Chematur’s President Stig Fagerström. ”Ecoplanning will continue to refine its product offer and together with the other companies in the CEAB Group increase its profitability.
Ecoplanning, which is based in Pori, Finland has at present some 50 employees with an annual turnover of USD 25 million. The company specializes in water treatment, acid recovery, distillation and supercritical technologies and has a strong environmental profile.
Chematur Engineering AB, which designs and builds chemical plants world-wide has subsidiaries in the United States and the UK, and sales offices in Hong Kong and India. In total, the company employs 150 engineers and has an annual turnover of USD 60 million. The company is active within isocyanate and aromatic production, agro-chemistry, hydrogen peroxide, powders, explosives, nitric acid and fertiliser manufacture.
