No more hunting through manuals

A new computer program will eliminate the need to hunt through mounds of car repair instruction manuals. The Windows based PC program, ACE - Autodiagnos Car Expert- is the next step in simplifying fault location and repair of the electronics systems in cars.

It is the latest addition to the Autodiagnos range of fault diagnosis equipment. Containing up-to-date information on the latest car models, it provides details on repairing electronic faults.
The program can be used on its own or in conjunction with Multi-Tester Plus. A fibre-optic cable links the Multi-Tester Plus to a PC. In this way, the computer can automatically look for the correct information for the particular problem.
Alternatively, the user needs only to type in make, model, engine type and the program can provide information on for example, the particular ignition and injection systems or anti-lock breaking system, ABS.
Being Windows-based, the program is both easy to learn and use. It is believed that ACE should speed up the time taken to repair electronic system faults.
Other benefits include the ability to store the fault history of particular vehicle. This can improve both customer relations and record keeping.
Autodiagnos has also created language versions suitable for all the major geographical areas in which it operates. The program will be introduced in September at Automeckanika in Frankfurt./ins
