Advanced mobile patient lift system
reduces health-care work-loads
The all aluminum Golvo 7000S/7007S mobile patient lift is a light-weight, yet robust universal floor lift designed for lifting handicapped patients in hospitals and nursing homes. With a maximum lifting capacity of 440 lb (200 kg), the unit uses a patented winch mechanism which, the manufacturer says, has all the advantages of a ceiling lift while offering the flexibility of a mobile unit. A number of features have been built into the design which increase patient safety and comfort while reducing work loads for health care staff. A special stand-assist system allows the patient to be helped into a standing position aiding dressing, visits to the bathroom and much more.
At the heart of the Golvo 7000S/7007S lies a patented winch system which puts the centre of gravity evenly between the four wheels. This considerably reduces the risk of the unit tipping over when lifting a patient. The use of a winch ribbon rather than a fixed arm allows the operator to simply attach and remove the various lifting accessories.
All the sling bar derivatives are fitted with safety hooks for secure lifting. Some ten different versions of sling, vest and stretcher are available in a wide range of sizes and materials. The sling bar is hung out of the way when not in use.
The controls are mounted in an ergonomically designed hand-held unit. A press of a button is all that is required to lift, lower and adjust lifting hight and chassis width
(the chassis can be widened to allow patients to be easily lifted from the side of a wheel chair).
The sling bar can be lowered all the way to the floor for lifting patients from a laying position. Should the system fail an emergency mechanical mechanism can be used to lower the patient to a safe position.
A new accessory is a stand-assist system comprising two shin pads connected to the central arm of the lift. Used in combination with a lifting vest, these allow a patient to be helped into a standing position aiding dressing, visits to the bathroom and much more. The shin pads can be adjusted to suit any patient. When not in use the pads are simply folded away against the arm allowing the lift to be used in the normal way.
