Business concept and history

TagMaster AB develops, manufactures and markets automatic
ID products based on microwave technology for applications
where efficiency and security are priorities. The company
itself was founded at the beginning of 1994, but its managers have been developing and marketing microwave-based ID systems since the mid-eighties.

Products
The main product is a third-generation microwave system, Confident, based around a new patent. The system is chiefly intended for applications in industrial automation and distribution, as well as for use in automatic, non-contact entry control of persons and vehicles. Confident is the first microwave-based ID-system with credit-card-type badges, developed to combine ease of use and multi-read functionality with high reliability. High-speed and heavy-duty badges are recent innovations of the company.

The Company:
TagMaster AB is a public company with around 2,000 shareholders and is quoted on the Swedish Innovations Market in Stockholm. The head office is located in the high-technology park Electrum at Kista, north of Stockholm.
Development and production of the new Confident system has been carried out in collaboration with the Japanese electronics company Kenwood, which has been producing microwave-based ID-systems for the last ten years.
TagMaster AB is a member of AIM (Automatic Identification Manufacturers), and has distributors in most European countries as well as in Asia and the USA./ins
