High output variable pumps for demanding load-sensing systems

A new family comprising two high output, variable axial piston pumps for load-sensing systems is now being presented by the Swedish manufacturer Sunfab Hydraulics. The pumps are designed for demanding operations for mobile truck hydraulics.

The variable pumps are designed to be fitted directly on the truck's power take-off and are intended for hydraulic systems that require a particularly large oil flow. One of the pumps, the SVH 092, has a maximum displacement of 92 cm³/rotation, while the larger model, the SVH 112, has a displacement of 112 cm3/rotation.
"Our rapidly regulating high-pressure variable pumps are both compact and lightweight. They are therefore particularly suitable for installation directly on the vehicle's power take-off," says Sven-Olof Löthmyr, Sales Manager for hydraulic pumps in the Nordic region.
The new pumps have been developed and adapted for the operating pressure that is used in the very latest truck cranes. The SVH pumps work at 35 MPa (350 bar) in continuous operation, but can cope with a maximum of 40 MPa. It is said that the SVH 092 and 112 axial piston pumps enjoy a high level of efficiency, are able to regulate very rapidly and have a maximum torque of an impressive 530 Newton metres.
Sunfab feels that the design of the pumps makes them unusually lightweight and compact. In addition, there is only a marginal difference in format between the 092 and 112 pump models.
The pumps are ISO certified, with the shaft and flange being designed in accordance with ISO 7653, for example. The recommended degree of filtration for the hydraulic oil is 18/13 according to ISO 4406. As the new SVH pumps are dependent on the direction of rotation, they are always ordered in either a right-hand or left-hand version.

Sunfab Hydraulics develops, designs and markets both hydraulic pumps and hydraulic motors, with the market for mobile truck hydraulics as its primary target group. The company's development and manufacturing divisions as well as the head office are located in Hudiksvall in central Sweden, with a total of 60 employees. The company has subsidiaries in Germany, Spain and Singapore and is currently represented in 35 countries. Sunfab has an annual turnover of SEK 90 million.
