A completely new generation of automatic door openers has been developed by Besam Limited. The new universal Power Swing will be able to replace many older types of opener, since all previously required functions and performance are incorporated into a single model. This also meets the requirements of both the market and the authorities.

According to the manufacturer, the need for automatic doors is often greatest in locations and corridors that are characterised by high traffic density and difficult operating conditions. These are conditions that are often encountered in, for example, the health care sector, where door openers facilitate passage, not least for wheelchair occupants and invalids with movement restrictions. At the same time, automatic door opening ensures more efficient passage of wheeled beds and other equipment between the various departments.

"Power Swing is a new generation of door automation that meets the requirements of the market as well as the authorities, in respect of design, sound level, fire and personal safety. We have discovered that clients do not want several different models, just one simple, reliable and elegantly designed product that is based on the latest and well proven mechanical and electronic technology," says Mark Conway, Besam Limited.

There is a market for this new product within, among others, old people's care, hospitals, accommodation for the handicapped and other public environments where there is a need to automate existing doors or install new ones for quiet and reliable operation.

"Power Swing is particularly suitable for automating existing manual swing doors, and is a single solution for a problem that previously required many different solutions. For the client it means that one avoids having to disturb too much the existing environment, and the opener can be easily moved in the case of rebuilding, but also that there is a low investment cost," Mark Conway continues.

Door automation ensures easy opening and closing. Apart from the fact that the motor does all the work, and is silent while the door is open, the automatic mechanism reduces wear and the need for repair of doors and walls Draughts and energy loss are also reduced since the doors stay open no longer than necessary.
