Hägglunds has a leading international position in hydraulic drive systems, primarily for industrial and marine applications. We have developed from being a manufacturer of motors to a supplier of complete direct drive solutions. Our customised systems are often developed in co-operation with our customers and we build our business on long-term relationships and reliability. Our deep system knowledge and thorough understanding of the applications are two of our greatest strengths.

Our first hydraulic motor was produced at the beginning of the 1960s and today we have delivered almost 100,000 motors. Our geographical and technical scope of operations is exceptional, serving customers world-wide from a range of industries, such as building & construction, bulk material handling, cement, chemicals, dredging, fishing, merchant, mining, offshore, pulp and paper, rubber and plastics, recycling, steel and sugar.

Manufacturing operations in Mellansel are environmentally certified according to ISO 14001 and also quality certified according to ISO 9001. Our wide range of high quality products includes motors with accessories, power units and control systems including piping, installation and commissioning services. We also offer remote monitoring of systems providing "customer care on line" and our global organisation provides reliable, responsive service and support.

Hägglunds main office is located in Sweden. In recent years we have invested over 100 million-SEK in our production plant, which is of the highest standard. We also have one of the most modern hydraulic laboratories in Europe, with 11 test rooms. Sales are primarily conducted through our 14 international-ly positioned sales companies. We have 50 offices in total including service facilities, and 14 distributor offices ensuring that Hägglunds is nearby to offer support and assistance wherever you are.

After becoming an independent company in the early nineties, our turnover has increased substantially. In 2001, our turnover was 892 million SEK. Yet, our vision goes beyond being the leading supplier of complete drive systems. We want to be even closer to our customers, using our high performance solutions to develop improved productivity. Hägglunds is a company in the Arcorus Group; a group focusing upon qualified and customised hydraulic systems.
