Monitor manufacturer Nokia Display Products is launching the 400Xa, another screen using S-TFT LCD technology. The monitor is a follow-up to the 300Xa, which was launched last autumn. The 400Xa has a larger 14.1 " image area but the same physical size as the 300Xa.

The 400Xa has a resolution of 1024 x 768 dots, and can display 16.7 million colours. The screen is based on S-TFT (Super-wide Thin Film Transistor) technology and has a contrast ratio of 100:1. This all means that the screen is of very high quality.

The new screen has a viewing angle of a full 160 degrees, both horizontally and vertically. It has integral speakers, and fixed or swivelling wall brackets are available as accessories.

TCO approved
The screen is approved according to TCO-95. Of all monitor manufacturers in the market, Nokia has more TCO approved screens.
"We have always placed great importance on the TCO's requirements, and we have a good working relationship with them. When the TCO produces a new standard, Nokia contributes with its knowledge and experience," says Anders Larsson, Business Development Manager at Nokia Display Products.
Distribution of the new 400Xa monitor will begin during the spring. Nokia guarantees the monitors for three years.
