Excosoft is a Swedish software company which specialises in the structuring of information. The aim is to make unstructured information in the form of text and images structured, easily accessible, understandable and usable.
The company develops software tools and methods which utilise the bank of information that has been created and built up within a company. The information can then be processed and converted into knowledge available to everyone. Excosoft’s business is focused on supplying the market with powerful, functional tools suited to its needs. The philosophy is that simplicity is a strength in the world of computing too, and that users should have as good a command of the possibilities of the tool as they have of the information they process with it.
The work of experts in the form of analyses, creation of new development environments and implementation of new ways of working is included in what the company has to offer, as well as training.
The result for the customer is well-organised documentation and software, greater re-use, simplified maintenance and better cooperation within and between projects. Ultimately, highly efficient document handling significantly improves productivity.

Background
The technology behind the products was developed back in the early 1980s by three developers at Ericsson Radio Systems. They set up Excosoft in 1986 and since then the products have been refined so that today they comprise a complete package of tools and services. The company is still owned by its founders.
