Daimler envisions introduction of electric buses and hydrogen trucks in India

/INS. Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) is actively involved in research work for electric buses and hydrogen trucks, with the intention to introduce them to the Indian market. DICV is preparing to enter the electric commercial vehicle segment. The initial focus could be on electric buses, aligning with India’s shift towards emission-free vehicles.

Additionally, DICV is exploring small commercial vehicles (CV) weighing over five tonnes, particularly electric mini-trucks for efficient last-mile mobility in crowded cities. Investments are dedicated to both electric and hydrogen fuel technologies, with ongoing powertrain development in India and globally.
