Sustainable energy is coming to Russia

Metso has three major news we would like to share:
1. Succesful start up of largest biomass power plant in central Europe (Szczecin Power Plant, Poland)
- Replacing 5 old coal fired boiler units to one modern BFB biomass boiler
- Capacity and sustainability features
- Utilization of local fuels; forest residues and agrofuels
- Automation control system for complete power plant including turbine control
2. Arkhangelsk Mill to utilize local biomass fuel resulting in cost efficiency and sustainability (Russia)
- Watertreatment sludge used for energy and positive effect on landfilling
- Replacing purchased fossil fuel with bark and sludge
3. Automation solutions to enhance the process and increase the lifecycle of the plant
- Gas turbine automation
