Kemiart Ultra has been the latest addition to Kemiart Liners’ range of high-performance coated white-top kraftliners. Feedback from M-real customers shows that Kemiart Ultra can be postprinted without drying equipment and no loss of efficiency in production. Depending on the press equipment, printing speeds from 6,000 to 15,000 sheets per hour have been achieved with in-line die cutting.

“By using Kemiart Ultra our customers are realising significant cost savings on their energy bills”, says Koen Verplancke, Technical Sales Manager, M-real Consumer Packaging. “Dryers on flexo presses are very beneficial in terms of efficiency and quality, but they consume a lot of energy, whereas Kemiart Ultra gives good net printing speeds without the use of dryers. And like all our Kemiart coated kraftliners, Ultra requires less energy from the corrugator’s heating system. Depending on the corrugator they use, customers can achieve 30-50% savings in their energy costs by using Kemiart Liners.

“And of course lower energy usage also reduces CO 2 emissions, with benefits to the wider environment”, adds Koen Verplancke.

Kemiart Ultra offers a superb combination of graphics quality in flexo postprint and high productivity at all stages of printing and converting processes. Kemiart Ultra’s unique surface allows for much faster ink drying times than conventional coated liners, and can handle higher ink volumes and faster printing speeds than usually obtained with coated linerboards.
