Loglift Jonsered has launched a new ergonomic cabin for its market-leading range of timber cranes. Designed to meet the rising trend to specify cranes with cabins, the new V906 is not only larger and lighter than the
company's previous product, but continues the manufacturer’s ‘design for durability’ philosophy.

"Demand for cabins has doubled in the last five years. It's a definite trend - even in regional markets that traditionally use open seat designs," says Jyrki Pynninen, Marketing Director of Loglift Jonsered Oy Ab. "The design of our new cabin draws on extensive customer feedback from the previous generation, and we believe this larger and lighter package makes it an extremely attractive option for operators wherever they are located."

The design of the V906 cabin significantly enhances user comfort. The cabin is 45 mm wider than previous designs, and has narrower front pillars for enhanced visibility. The comfort and protection the cabin provides is particularly important in markets with harsh weather conditions, supporting gains in productivity. When in use, the cabin is also raised considerably higher on the crane than an open seat, providing improved visibility - which can be an important productivity feature in some applications such as loading railway wagons.

Other new features include improved, easy-adjust pedals; a diesel heater with improved heat distribution; and both front and side doors for easy access in all usage situations. Despite these gains, the cabin weighs 35 kg less than the previous design.

The V906 cabin conforms to the EN12999 European Standard for cranes and loader cranes. Standard equipment includes three roof-mounted halogen lights, a skylight window, cylinder locks on the doors, and an ergonomic heated seat with back/forward and armrest adjusters - and a tilting backrest. It can be equipped with either an electronic joystick, or Loglift Jonsered's patented MF mechanical lever controls. The mechanical levers provide extremely fine steering control and are one of the most popular features with Loglift Jonsered users. A wide range of optional equipment is also available including radio, xenon lights, and crane scales.

V906 can be fitted to most Loglift Jonsered's timber crane ranges, all of which are designed for extended duty cycle operations. For example, Loglift Jonsered employs features such as a high-specification hydraulic system, with unique design features on the base, lower pillar and boom arm to provide strength and durability.

Loglift Jonsered's focus on engineering reliability into its products continues with this latest version of its cabin. The design improvements of the new V906 have all been implemented without compromising the choice of construction materials, which includes a stainless steel frame. These features ensure a long working lifetime, supporting the high resale values that Loglift Jonsered cranes command.
