automotive vacuum testing kits
introduced in the Far East

Vacuum plays an integral part in today’s trucks and automobiles. Fuel injection, emissions control and transmissions all rely on vacuum technology.
California-based Neward Enterprises Inc. introduced the original Mityvac vacuum and pressure pump to the US market in 1973. The simple hand-held, hand-operated design of the pump enables operators to achieve a near perfect vacuum for automotive maintenance and troubleshooting. The company is in the process of expanding its sales and service distributor base in the Pacific Rim.

The company’s best selling product, the Mityvac Silverline Automotive Kit (P/N 4000), features a repairable pump made of zinc alloy die cast metal with an easy-to-read vacuum gauge calibrated in inches and centimeters of mercury. The kit includes an adapter package to facilitate testing of emission controls, air conditioning, automatic transmissions, carburetors and other vacuum operated and related vehicle systems.
According to the company, the kit’s easily fitted brake bleeding accessories turn a two-person brake bleeding job into a simple one-person task. Using the vacuum generated by the pump, the technician can draw brake fluid quickly and cleanly into the reservoir jar. The hydraulic lines of most systems, including some anti-lock brakes, can be bled without accidental fluid spill.
Another product designed for one-person use is the new, upgraded Cooling System Test Kit (P/N 4500). After setting up the specially designed adapter, a quick and simple task, says Neward, the technician can analyse the entire cooling system without removing or replacing test probes. The adapter also allows the user to attach tubing directly to it while providing constant access to the temperature probe. This makes the diagnosis of thermostats, system failures and electric fan sensor performance, a rapid one-hand operation. The ability to return pressurized coolant to the system eliminates fluid loss.
The Mityvac 4000 and 4500 kits are packaged in durable plastic carrying cases for easy access and convenient storage. Each includes a comprehensive user’s manual.
