In the first collaboration of its kind in the Ukraine, the Swedish based company NSAB, owner of the Sirius satellites, is working with LuckyNet, a rapidly growing national Internet service provider. The aim is to offer a high speed satellite Internet broadcast system, Lucky Link, for business and private users.

The venture is expected to meet the growing demand for more sophisticated telecommunications services in the country.
-This is a revenue sharing venture in which Sirius provides the satellite capacity and LuckyNet runs the operation, explains Klas Johnson, the company´s sales manager for the Ukraine.
LuckyNet´s Project Manager, Vadim Pogoryelov says, ´this is a good solution for us. We are also receiving inquiries from Russia, Moldova and Romania.´
The five year old Ukrainian company has a growing customer base in the business sector and also supplies its services to other regional Internet service providers.
Satellite Internet broadcasting offers a fast way of connecting to the Internet system world-wide.
The Ukraine is in the middle of an improvement of its infrastructure, and its telecommunication infrastructure in particular. Internet and related business communications services are in demand as the country undergoes rapid economic development.
Satellite connection to the Internet backbone network is an effective way of providing communications in this economic climate.
NSAB´s Internet service capacity is provided through its Sirius satellite system which allows the reception of transmissions with small antennas throughout the most of Europe. In addition to Internet, the company offers a wide range of satellite broadcasting services. The company also offers uplinking as well as digital television services such as coding, encryption and multiplexing. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, the company has been operating since 1983.
