New switch-disconnector suits every application

A switch-disconnector which can be used for main switches, control switches and motor switches, has been designed by ABB Control to meet the needs of both electrical installers and manufacturers of electrical equipment. Only one range of switches need be stocked, as the OT switch-disconnector can be used in all operating classes, regardless of the purpose of the installation. The rated impulse withstand voltage (U imp) exceeds 8kV, allowing installation in all system voltages and installation categories.

A reliable position indicator and guides to restrict opening mean the switch cannot be locked in the 0-position unless all the contacts are open.
The modular design and Snap-On mounting of the OT switch-disconnector makes it easy to install on a base plate, a door or a DIN-rail. Screw mounting can also be used on doors. Accessories also use Snap-On mounting.
The entire range of switches share the same auxiliary contacts, which can be added to the three-pole basic switches.
Wiring up is quick with terminal clamps supplied ready open and equipped with non-drop Pozidrive screws. The connectors can be made even more secure with extra terminal shrouds if necessary.
In addition to the industrial type switch series, there is also a grey coloured rotary type installation switch series available, which is compatible with Stotz proM products. The whole range, including handles
and accessories, is uniform, giving a smart appearance that fits in easily with surrounding equipment.
The needs of the environment have been taken into consideration throughout the manufacturing process. The switch contacts do not contain cadmium and the plastic parts are self-quenching. All metal and plastic parts and packing materials can be recycled.
The switch series consists of three- and four-pole 16, 25, 32, 45, 63, 80, 100 A and 125 A switches, which are suitable for AC 21..23 use up to 690 V. The switches are tested to IEC 947-3 standard and comply fully with the new European Machine directive EN 60204 and IEC 204./ins
