Popularity of Swedish gingerbread biscuits rising take-off at ISMfor further expansion

More and more gingerbread biscuits are being exported from Annas Pepparkakor AB in Sweden. 70 years after its foundation the company is now the world's largest manufacturer, producing over 2 500 tons annually. This is the equivalent of an impressive 500 million gingerbread biscuits. Half of these already go to international partners in a couple of dozen markets. The giant Swedish department store IKEA is one of those who have contributed to this export success.

Swedish gingerbread biscuits have become an increasingly popular international biscuit product, especially in connection with Christmas celebrations. With its coming investment in the exhibition at the major Anuga trade fair in Cologne the Swedish company Annas Pepparkakor AB, the world's leading manufacturer, wants to show that gingerbread biscuits are a year-round product with significant potential in other situations and in the Central European market.

Swedish Ultra-Thin Ginger Snaps in Demand Now in exotic new packaging

Two new kinds of thin ginger snaps—or ‘ginger thins’— are now being introduced on the North American market: lemon and chocolate mint. Newly designed packaging for the 150-gram series has also been launched, as well as 400-gram cans featuring Swedish floral and folklore decorations. Annas Pepparkakor is the company behind the new marketing campaign. The company annually exports about 700 metric tons of ginger thins, and is reported to be the world’s biggest producer of ginger snap products.
