CTI- COMPUTER TELEPHONY INTEGRATED AT CeBit

PRESS RELEASE
27 February 1996
The key to accessibility
in the fight for customers

Sharp competition places ever greater demands upon today's companies. To be able to give precise information on where a person is or can be reached is becoming a competitive device as demands for information and quality of information increase.
Preseco Informations System AB is a Swedish spearhead company which has been developing the technology for ten years as part of its operation within the IT area.
'After big successes in Scandinavia it is now time for the rest of Europe to make the acquaintance of CTI,' says Per-Axel Andersson, the company's marketing director.
CTI (Computer Telephony Integrated) is the fastest growing area within the IT sector and is expected to generate several billions of pounds sterling within a few years.

1300 of the 1500 biggest companies in Scandinavia have already recognized the importance of having a good communication and reference system linked to their switchboard and network. For over ten years Preseco,
a company in the Saab Combitech group, have developed systems which integrate telephone and data communication. This has given the company both broad and sound experience of the need different companies have for telephony-, communication- and computer structure, currently packaged as the 'Present Concept'.

Integrates many functions
With 'Present' it is possible in one and the same system to solve the company's total need for telephony and message handling. The system can also be integrated into the company's existing system, for example, for E-mail, fax etc.
* The system is linked to the customer's network and works as an integrated unit with the telephone switchboard.
* The telephonist gains a unique tool that makes it possible to give fast, accurate information in all situations.
* The network link also means that all PC users gain access to 'Present'. In the 'electronic telephone catalogue', which is kept constantly up-to-date, it is easy to seek and retrieve information on colleagues, leave messages giving reasons for absence and time of return etc.
All this improves both the external and internal service and communication considerably.

Distributers sought
In Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark system sales are handled via large telecommunications companies such as Telia, Telenor, Dotcom, Alcatel etc. Reference customers include ABB, Carlsberg, Microsoft, Ericsson, SAS, Winter Olympic Games 1994 in Lillehammer, Norsk Hydro, etc.
Now attention is being turned towards Europe.
'As a first step we are seeking contact with prospective distributers in Germany, Great Britain and Holland,' explains Per Axel Andersson.
The earliest opportunity to meet the company and inspect the system will be at the Cebit trade fair.
'We shall be introducing a dynamic product in the technical front-line of a rapidly expanding sector,' says Per Axel Andersson. 'Our aim is to adapt ourselves in the best possible way to the needs of these new markets and achieve a position comparable to the one we have on the Scandinavian market.'
