New compact high performance filter in environmentally friendly packaging
The Camfil Group introduces a new environmentally-friendly compact, space saving filter: the Airopac Green. The filter's cardboard packaging is made from recycled fibers and also is the actual frame for the filter. This product requires no separate outer shipping carton thereby reducing the volume of waste paper to be deposited in landfills.
The newly designed filter is available in three different efficiencies and four different depths and is therefore suitable for areas with space limitations. The filters can be used in residential, as well as, commercial and industrial sites."We have developed this new product in response to market demand for air filters with low environmental impact combined with high performance", said Niels-Erik Kongste, Marketing Manager of Camfil AB, Sweden. He estimates the international market has great potential for this product.
According to Camfil, most ventilation plants use inferior filtration products. By installing the Airopac Green filter, which is claimed to have "lower life cycle" costs than conventional filters, property owners can upgrade their ventilation systems at low cost while significantly improving air quality.
Additionally, "The filter's cardboard frame is resistant to moisture that exists in ordinary exterior environments", explained Kongste. The filter is manufactured to the Eurovent 4/9 International Standard. Filter installation and change-out is quick and easy. The installer just tears off the perforated cardboard front and then places the filter into its holding frame using a holding clip to secure it in place. For shipment, the filter uses a thin textile cloth for separation and protection. The filter is incinerable and, therefore, can be destroyed without creating any environmentally harmful residue from burning the used filter.
The Camfil Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of air filtration products, maintains an extensive team of over 80 employees who are exclusively involved in research and development efforts. The head office is in Trosa, Sweden. The company has manufacturing in eight different countries, including subsidiaries in Europe, the USA and Asia, as well as representatives and agents in over 42 countries. The product range consists of filter's for use in ventilation plants, vehicles, consumer products and sterile environments, (e.g. Microelectronics, Pharmaceutical and Medical industries).

The Airopac Green compact filter occupies little space and is therefore suitable for ventilation plant in restricted areas. The packaging, made from recycled fibre, is a part of the filter and reduces waste.
