"Rotary vacuum pump design eliminates vibration"

Rotary Vacuum Pump Design Eliminates Vibration and Provides Quiet Operation
A line of low profile, rotary piston vacuum pumps has been introduced by Kinney Vacuum Company. The 2000 Series Pump design balances the opposing forces of three pistons to eliminate vibration and provide quieter operation than other vacuum pumps, the company claims.
Long-term reliability is enhanced by eliminating
metal-to-metal contact within the pump. An oil film between the moving parts provides a high intensity seal between suction and discharge in the pumping chamber. Oil carry-over is prevented by an integral oil mist eliminator. The 2000 Series pumps are compact, and will produce vacuums down to 0.013 mBar, with pumping capacities up to 1350m3/hr. Kinney states that the elimination of vibration allows the pumps to be installed, without fastenings, on any structure that will support the weight of the pump.
Applications for the 2000 Series are as diverse as vacuum heat treating, melting and brazing, electrical equipment drying, vacuum packaging, and light bulb manufacturing.
Kinney Vacuum pumps, plus complete service and parts are available in the UK, Italy, Germany and France./ins
