Infinna™ achieves 99% Recycled Content Certification from SCS Global Services
We’re delighted to share that we’ve achieved certification for recycled content under the SCS Global Services Recycled ContentStandard. Our regenerated Infinna™ textile fiber is certified as having a minimum of 99% post-consumer recycled content.
To earn certification the Infinna™ production process was tracked and audited to confirm that Infinna™ contained “a minimum 99% post-consumer recycled cellulose”.
Speaking about the certification and what it means for Infinited Fiber Company, CEO and co-founder Petri Alava, said: “We use cotton-rich post-consumer textile waste as the sole raw material in the production of our regenerated Infinna™ textile fiber at our pilot facilities, and having validated external proof of this in the form of the SCS Global Recycled Content Certification is a big milestone for us. We’re thrilled to have received this recognition as it is something we can share with partners and collaborators as we work towards conserving natural resources, stopping waste from being wasted, and making textile circularity an everyday reality.”
SCS Recycled Content Certification is an international standard intended for use with any product containing at least 5% recycled material, with the goal of increasing the use of recycled materials in products and supply chains. Recycled Content certification independently confirms that products contain specific percentages of recycled content from pre-consumer and post-consumer sources.
SCS is accredited to provide services under a wide range of nationally and internationally recognized certification programs. To secure certification, SCS examined our entire production process, tracking raw materials through the supply chain.
