/INS. The Finnish company Eltete TPM’s delivery of an automatic paper pallet line to Nagoya in Japan had a dramatic start in June 2013. The line had been tested and dismantled at the company’s factory in Finland and was on its way to the harbour for shipment, when the company got the message that the ship had been lost at sea.

Industries in all parts of the world are now thinking of replacing traditional transport packaging solutions made of wood and plywood with almost equal products made of substantially lighter and easily recyclable paper board. 

Eltete's carton board pallet is four times lighter than a normal wooden pallet, which makes it possible to load significantly more freight and save on transport costs. But the main thing is that carton board pallets can be manufactured automatically on an industrial and economical scale anywhere in the world.
