Printed circuit board power connector is first with 25 amp rating
PCB power requirements have historically been limited to current ratings of 10 to 15 amps. Now, in response to the higher amp. demands of PC boards used in communications, un-interruptible power supplies (UPS) and data communications equipment, Anderson Power Products has developed the new 1377 Series rated at 25 amps. in a single pole configuration.
The straight or right angled connectors are designed for incorporation into back plane, mother/daughter board applications. The modular, plastic housings allow several units to be interlocked in polarized, multi-pole configurations. Housings are available in seven colors to help prevent mis-connection.A complete connector consists of a detachable housing, and a straight or right angle contact soldered to the PCB. The PCB mounted contact has board retention barbs to maintain its location during wave soldering. Principal features of the 1377 Series are low resistance, tin plated copper contacts; quick-disconnect capability to simplify field servicing, and polycarbonate housings rated to a maximum temperature of 115 degrees Celsius. The straight contact is supplied in either strip (reel) form or as loose pieces, while the right angle contact is supplied only as loose pieces.
